Arlington Real Estate

The town of Arlington is considered a gateway community, providing direct access to the Mountain Loop Highway, the North Cascade Mountains, and endless varieties of outdoor recreation. A northern suburb of Everett, Arlington offers rural living with a classic, small town demeanor.

Halfway between Seattle and Bellingham (both cities are about 45 miles away), Arlington sits near the banks of the Stillaguamish River. Fishing, river rafting, and hiking are the norm. Education is highly-rated – and well funded – thanks to the families that live here and the companies that support the community.

After twenty years of significant growth, Arlington doesn't show signs of slowing the pace. The estimated population in 2003 was nearly 14,000 – an increase of more than 450% since 1980! For now, however, buying Arlington real estate won't break the bank and promises to be a sound investment.

It's not uncommon to find tiny homes on large parcels of land for just a little over $100,000. Nicer homes on smaller lots can be purchased for under $200,000. Even three-bedroom, two-bath new construction is only priced in the low $200,000's. And for those who can afford the low $400,000's (what you might expect to pay for a modest home on a small lot within the Seattle city limits), you can buy a gorgeous view home on acreage. The average sales price for a single family home or condo was $274,391 in February 2006.

Beautiful scenery and a functional locale (Interstate 5 passes through the community) will ensure that Arlington real estate continues to appreciate as the area grows. Any way you look at it, Arlington real estate prices can't be beat.
