The city of Woodinville is located in the Sammamish Valley area of north King County. The shopping district in Woodinville continues to expand as the population grows. Many fine greenhouses and nurseries are here, along with an antique mall. The outdoor recreation offered by nearby lakes and mountains include swimming, hiking, biking, and skiing. The27-mile Burke-Gilman/Sammamish River Trail also runs through Woodinville.

Although the population of Woodinville is nearing 10,000, it has managed to preserve its small town feel. “Country Living, City Style” is Woodinville's motto. And as the remaining farmland is developed into additional residential districts, the city will continue its effort to maintain this appeal.
